Individuals best served by this group are those who have some practice in emotion regulation, have adequate external support systems (including a therapist you see weekly), and are ready to practice authentic interaction within a group process.
Adult Survivors of Childhood Sexual Trauma
This is a psycho-education group. The first hour will include education around an impact/aspect of childhood sexual trauma. The second half will be dedicated to processing that content. There will be homework in between weekly groups.
Some topics will include trauma and its impact on memory, responsibility and guilt feelings, black and white thinking, power and control issues, self-esteem, self-trust, boundary setting, how the nervous system is impacted by sexual abuse, understanding offenders, spirituality/faith impacts, building healthy relationships, and restoring healthy sexuality.
*Next Group will begin sometime in 2023. I'm working as fast as I can to get everything in place to start the group.
